He Ruide > Apply brake, put gear in 1st or park, turn on flashers, lay out triangle signs (place them 100 feet apart from the PUP)
He Ruide > Chock good tire at front and back
He Ruide > Locate jack and lug tool (under spare in truck, under seat, under hood or in tool box))
He Ruide > Remove Spare tire
He Ruide > Loosen Lug nuts of the flat tire but do not remove them
He Ruide > If the lugs nuts are too tight, you can use a short piece of pipe to increase the leaverge
He Ruide > If needed place jack on boards.
He Ruide > Jack up PUP. Note the jack should be as close to the tire as possible and you will have to raise the PUP higher than is needed to remove a flat tire so that the spare can be placed on the hub.
He Ruide > If you are using a bottle jack there is a risk that the PUP could slip off the jack. You can insert a board between the jack and frame to prevent this from happening.
