He Ruide  > Fresh water Modifications > Water transfer pump
I'm always worried that lifting up my water gerry can to add water to my fresh water tank will cause me back problems during a camping trip. The mod will pump water from the cans into the tank.

He Ruide > Typically I add water to the tank by holding up this  5 gallon container.  Yes it look easy when it it empty but no so when it is full with water.
He Ruide > I though about using a dreill pump but this pump was too slow.
He Ruide > So the alternative was this 12 volt pump.  Some of the parts are:  12 volt pump, PVC pipe, garden hose and fitings.

He Ruide > I found a plastic box at Radio shack that I have mounded the pump inside.  This also shows the other fitting I'm using.
He Ruide > This is the pump mounted under the PUP with the cover off.
He Ruide > The pump inside the project box with the top on.
He Ruide > Two switches.  The one on the left is for the water transfer pump. The one on the right is for the fridge fan.
He Ruide > I tapped into the 12 volt wires that are in the fridge compartment...
