I though about using a dreill pump but this pump was too slow.
Typically I add water to the tank by holding up this 5 gallon container. Yes it look easy when it it empty but no so when it is full with water.
So the alternative was this 12 volt pump. Some of the parts are: 12 volt pump, PVC pipe, garden hose and fitings.
I found a plastic box at Radio shack that I have mounded the pump inside. This also shows the other fitting I'm using.
This is the pump mounted under the PUP with the cover off.
The pump inside the project box with the top on.
Two switches. The one on the left is for the water transfer pump. The one on the right is for the fridge fan.
I tapped into the 12 volt wires that are in the fridge compartment...
With the pump, two fridge fans, two switches, and two fuses the wiring got more complicated than I had thought. I ended up wiring everything onto the barrier strip and placed in this project box. NOTE THERE IS A BREAK IN THE JUMPER STRIP BETWEEN THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE WIRES.
Here is the project box with its cover.
